Bilingual Health Referral Line
La Salud Hispana is proud to introduce La Linea de la Salud, a Toll Free Health Referral Line that
provides Latinos from throughout the US with easy access referrals to the best
medical services and quality health care programs available to them in a
culturally appropriate manner.
The main objectives of La Linea de
La Salud are:
I.
To facilitate Latinos with the best medical services
and health information available by eliminating barriers such as
language, time constrains, transportation, lack of insurance and not knowing how to
access the healthcare system.
II.
To match the Latino patient needs with qualify
physicians and/or healthcare professionals and entities in a professional,
cordial culturally appropriate manner.
III.
To provide referrals to qualify healthcare
providers and or entities that offer bilingual services from Latino patients in
search of specialty medical services, screenings and information. If there is a need for translation, our
professional bilingual staff will instantly assist the patient in making the
appointment.
Our commitment is to the patient and the
provider by facilitating competent health care referrals that can lead to
better services, outcomes, and patient retention.
La Linea de La Salud data base is a source of bilingual Spanish and
English primary and specialty care physicians, dentist, pharmacist,
chiropractics, nutritionist, optometrist, podiatrist, physical therapist, homeopathics,
clinical psychologist, psychotherapist, social workers hospitals, clinics,
family planning agencies, prenatal care agencies, community organization,
health organizations, social service organizations, education/research institutions, HMO’s and
clinical laboratories among others.
Whether the patient is a 6 year old child
suffering from asthma, a 7 month pregnant woman with no prenatal care, a 60
year old man with severe back pain, a 22 year old immigrant with a severe
toothache or a 45 year old woman whose husband is suffering from cancer, La Linea de la Salud will match the
patient with a qualify physician or
healthcare professional.
