La Salud Hispana Hydro and Medical Missions seeks to bring aid to the very poor people throughout Latin America living in precariously built places without water, electricity or sewer services. Our fundamental mission is creating life conditions according to their dignity and human rights.

LSH Hydro and Medical Missions is presently working towards several projects in Latin America in areas of health services, education and providing a desperate physical need "clean water" through low-tech appropriate products and services.

It's estimated that 1.1 billion people worldwide lack access to safe drinking water. In developing countries, nearly 90 percent of all diseases are caused by unsafe drinking water, inadequate sanitation, and poor hygiene. There is a high percentage of malnourished children who are usually suffering from upper respiratory infections, diarrhea, parasitic diseases, and dermatological problems. The women become pregnant at early ages, have several children and also suffer of precarious health.

Every year, there are 4 billion cases of diarrhea as a direct result of drinking contaminated water; this results in more than 2.2 million deaths each year. The weakest members of communities are the most vulnerable; every day water-related diseases claim the lives of 5000 children under the age of five. That’s roughly one every 15 seconds.
