EDITORIAL GUIDELINES
Articles will be bylined by the author.
While the magazine is fully in Spanish, articles should be submitted in English and will be translated by the magazine staff. Articles may be assigned or may be suggested by members of the Medical Editorial Advisory Board.
While there are certain topics we believe must be covered regularly as relevant to the interests of our readership, we welcome the input of physicians whose medical practices may reflect a particular need or who have special expertise in an area of medicine.
All articles should be between 500 and 600 words in length, single spaced in a 12-point readable font. All articles must be submitted via email directly to the editor in chief.
A firm deadline for submission of articles will be set upon assignment and publication timelines demand that we must adhere to these deadlines.
We cannot assure our writers that articles submitted after the deadline will be used, although we will make every effort to publish the article in a later issue of the magazine.
All articles will be edited by the La Salud Hispana editorial staff and final acceptance is at the discretion of the magazine.
Articles should not be written in the first person unless assigned that way by the editors.
Articles should be written in a clearcut, direct style and should be targeted specifically to the assigned topic.
Don't stray. Keep in mind that an assignment on the causes of hepatitis may parallel another on treatment for hepatitis, scheduled to run in the same issue.
The editorial staff wishes to help medical contributors and members of the Medical Editorial Advisory Board in any way possible.
We remain eager to discuss issues with you, answer any questions you may have during development of an article and help as much as we can.
